The historic Cathedral town of Bury St Edmunds, hub of East Anglia, once housed the fabulous Norman Abbey making it one of the great centres of pilgrimage in England. The town boasts many fine buildngs including the exquisite Georgian Theatre Royal, and the Cathedral with its fabulous new tower. Bury St Edmunds is a wonderful centre for tourists with Norwich, Cambridge, Nemarket and Ely together with the East Coast ports and Aldeburgh all being reached within an hour by car.
